MEDICATION OPTIONS
Semaglutide
The active ingredient for Wegovy and Ozempic, belongs to a class of drugs known as GLP-1 receptor agonists. It reduces appetite, slows down the emptying of the stomach, and increases feelings of fullness. It has shown promising results in clinical trials and offers a novel approach to weight management by influencing appetite and metabolism. This is a once a week dose injection titration.
Tirzepatide
The active ingredient for Mounjaro or Zepound, belongs to a class of drugs known as GLP-1 receptor agonists. Its unique mechanism of action works by targeting both receptors, enhances insulin secretion and reduces glucagon secretion in a glucose-dependent manner, contributing to improved glycemic control by causing a glucose-lowering effects, resulting in significant weight loss in clinical trials. This is also a once a week dose injection titration.
Phentermine
Phentermine also known as Adipex-P, is in a class of medication called anorectics, a stimulant medication that is taken orally daily to help reduces appetite and promote weight loss. It is used for a limited period of time (typically 3 mo) to speed weight loss in overweight people who are exercising and eating a low-calorie diet. This is a controlled medication and if meet criteria, we require clients to have a first visit in office for a physical assessment before prescribing (and may require intermittently in office visit throughout). Based on age and medical history, additional testing such as EKG and lab may be require before treatment.

Topiramate
Topiramate may suppress appetite and helps with weight loss. It is often taken together with another agent such as Phentermine to further assist with weight loss.

Bupropion / Naltrexone (known as Contrave)
Naltrexone, an opiate antagonist, and bupropion, a mood stabilizer, both have significant impacts on the brain's reward system by raising levels of dopamine to reduce hunger by promoting satiety and decreasing cravings. Naltrexone–bupropion combination, when combined with lifestyle intervention and calorie reduction, is an effective way to assist in weight management.

LIPO-B12 / MICC Injection
LIPO-B / MICC as fat burning substances that help support fat loss by reducing fat deposits and accelerating metabolic processes. Methionine helps break down sugars & carbohydrates and convert them into energy. Inositol converts food into energy and helps the liver get rid of fat. Choline breaks down cholesterol and prevent it from getting deposited in parts of the body, also helps convert fat into energy. Cyanocobalamin (B12) aids in energy production and metabolism while providing a greater feeling of overall energy. This is an intramuscular injection that can be taken once weekly alone or in additional to another weight loss medication to further assist in losing weight.
